Traded the GS and bought a ZL1
So.... long story short, I traded my Buick Regal GS. Just wasn't me. No matter what mods I threw at it, I just wasn't excited with it. Decided to cut my losses before I spent any more money on it, and purchase the car I always wanted to buy.... a 2013 ZL1. I was stalking the car for a good 2 months before I made a move on it. After some negotiating, I got it for the price I wanted. It's a stock, unmolested car, and that's the way I wanted it. Stock options are suede package, and exposed carbon fiber hood extractor. It's also a manual, and boy did I ever miss driving stick.... great to be back! Not to mention how much I missed the sound of a supercharger. Below is a quick pic I took before my test drive. I pick her up this Saturday, and can't wait to take her on some country rides before the snow falls.

Very nice. The dealer had a 2018 ZL1 sitting on the showroom when I was picking up my new diesel Cruze last week. It didn't have the window sticker showing what options were on the car but the price posted was higher than the new "stripped" Z06 sitting next to it.
I imagine finding an unmolested one a few years old like the one you found would be a great choice. The extra power and changes on the newer generation would be nice but if you're prone to tinker and modify it's a great starting point.

Thanks friends!
Don't get me wrong the GS was a great car... aggressive front end looks, fantastic interior, great ride, and very impressive passing power. What it lacked was excitement. It was just that refined. The exhaust had a decent bark from it (full 3" factory exhaust), but inside the car you could barely hear it. The turbo made nice sounds, and the car made impressive power for what was done to it (260whp 316wtq), but it just didn't have that excitement my SS gave me. I will say it had very inconsistent days to... Some days it pulled like a **** and impressed me, other days it felt like no body was home. Sure I could have added a ZFR, cams, ported head, lowered it, etc. but it just wasn't that kind of car to be doing that to (in my eyes). I always knew my end game would be a Camaro ZL1, so I decided to quit on the GS while I was ahead, and find a ZL1. I'm very happy with the decision, and can't wait to test out all of the settings on the ZL1. Did I mention how much I missed a supercharger?? haha
No way... I never drove my Cobalt in the winter, and def won't drive the ZL1 in the winter.
I have a winter beater that doesn't owe me a dime
