2.2 ls to a 2.4 ls with some 2.0 lsj

I got in a wreck with my previous 07 cobalt 2.2 ls 5 speed, I then had purchased a 07 ss/sc cobalt the motor in that one was bad, I had already pulled the engine out of the cobalt that I wrecked, and my plan is to bore it out to a 2.4 and then take the sc and kit off of the motor that is bad and put it on the 2.2 after I bore it out to a 2.4, add a different cam n pistons change the valves and I was hoping to take the manifold off the bad motor (2.0) and put it on the 2.4… I got a lot of time to do this but idk if I’m just dreaming about something that’s not possible, but I’m also got the time and dedication it will take to do this, I’m just asking for some direction and opinions, it will be a project but I need something to do that I can learn from and then eventually have some fun in in the future, ik it will be a project but that’s what I kind of want

I'm not sure that the crank trigger is timed the same across those engines. If it's not, you'll never get it to run with the LSJ PCM. You can put an LSJ crank into an LE5 block and have a 2.1L though. That's the common option that most people take. ZZP actually makes pistons specifically for that. There are other things that you need, as well though, like a Crank Position Sensor spacer - which ZZP also sells.

I have a newer 2.4L block in my garage, if you're interested.
