Papaw's Cadillac

Picked this up after a long search.

2016 ATS AWD 2.0T performance trim.
Paddle shifters, heated seats and steering wheel (cold weather package), brembos, 8 speed, wireless charging, 18"s, sunroof, factory move when you turn hids.
Things fun as hell. Only had it 2 days, havnt opened her up yet, not until i fill it up with premium so I know whats in it. Not sure what the monkeys at carmax put in it. Had it shipped up from Georgia.
25k miles, I paid $24k for it. Was 52k new as it sits. 1 owner.

Cons - Rearview camera looks like Nintendo Duckhunt quality.
Paint feels like brail and has tons of swirls. Will need a good day of going through it to correct it.

Even if the original owner sold it for the price you bought it, that's $1/mile of depreciation. That's the proper way to buy cars. Looks classy!

Looks nice!

How much for the banana mobile?

Snail_SS 06-23-2019 02:22 PM

Not sure on price yet. I'll be putting the car back to f35 and selling the f40 kit to someone locally and in also getting a ko4 to take off the zfr and if I get a regal then use the zfr on that

I was down to those two. The regal gs just doesnt make the power the ats does. i think i almost like the body on the regal better though.

Thank you! I had a list of options I wanted, one being the performance trim in the 2.0 turbo setup with awd. Amongst everything else this proved to be the hardest to find together. Then from there it had to be either black silver or blue, had to have black interior, had to have the cue system, had to have a sunroof, had to have those wheels. All in all it worked out, just took a while to find it.

I already told you congrats. But welcome to caddy gang

Looks like it lol

Yeah that's what I'm noticing right now. I like the exterior of the regal more than the ATS

After you just finish the transmission swap you're going to be selling the car...

Yeah pretty much. I wasn't going to take off the swap but I'm getting a good amount of money back for it so why not. Also I cant complain alot as it gave me experience on something I had never done before

royce777 06-24-2019 09:17 AM

you wont regret getting an ATS

That is reasonable and understandable, but still disappointing

Yeah indeed your point tho, part of me doesn't want to pull the trigger on selling the car and maybe in the end i wont. The car isn't enjoyable to me anymore. To many noises and the car doesn't feel stable like it did before the swap it might just be me tho. Maybe after I remove the swap I'll enjoy the car again and wont sell but idk

once it take it apart it never goes back together the same. Every thing you mess with creates more squeaks, rattles, and weird noises.

Just go back over everything and make sure it's torqued right, support the transmission and loosen the bolts then snug everything evenly. Speaking of noises I have to do some interior quieting after the wonderful roads of Nebraska and South Dakota

I mean if you pay attention it goes back the same way.
