When you have the Gen 4 lights. Do the low beams stay on when the high beams are turned on? Or do the lows go off?

The low beams go off. Check out the Ultimate High Beam how to in the op to get them to stay on.

Use the 6 ohm ones I linked to in the OP, that's why they're linked there. They will work for all turn signal applications that you would use on a cobalt. The 3 ohm ones are unnecessary.

Finally got my retros from buyhids.com installed! They're painted black with blacked out side markers. They have 6000k hids in them. They also have switchback turn signals installed. I've also got 8000k hid fogs.

does look good, but im iffy on retros in stock lights. They dont look OEM. They look aftermarket because of the huge reflector bowl that the retrofit sits in. wish there was a way around that

Thanks! Hmmm.. Maybe I can shove a piece of swiffer duster in there attatched to some pliers or something.

Maybe I'll practice popping off the lenses to measure my 3rd gens then take these off later or something.

ohh that could work too. That might work for getting some of the smear marks off the inside too.I'm getting good at getting stuff out that falls in there. I had my switchback bulb fall in when I closed the hood and it was loose and popped out. Pissed me off then realized it only took me 5 seconds to get it out.

For the dust issue, I'd say a can of compressed air from walmart should do it. Just stick the straw in and squeeze the trigger.

Just make sure you hold the straw though so it doesn't blow off and into the light.
