I like them. Every generation looks just as good as the next to me, it's all personal preference
I was being sarcastic. If you want them get them, just be sure to get hids with them. I used to have them myself.
No these are aftermarket headlights. Retrofits are individual projectors that go into the stock housing.
You can get them much cheaper, like ebay, which is the best place to buy them really. You're getting the same product just at a cheaper price.

For anyone wanting to see a quick vid of my switchbacks, here ya go. The quality sucks cuz it's from my phone, but I think it gets the point across. Maybe I'll get a better shot tomorrow if I get some time. Also they aren't really THIS blue IRL, but they aren't PURE white either. I'm gonna get a new set in 5000k color to match the new retros I'm making. I need a new set anyways, my right amber signal burned out, but the white part still works (I always have issues with my right headlight for some reason)

lol dude you're awesome. Which ones are those exactly? From v-leds.com? I'll probably pick up a set at some point. I'll definitely go with the type 2 that kill that white while indicating.

Yep I know the difference between the two types. I just noticed the turn signal bulb puts out a tad bit less light in my gen 3's vs the stock lights, but thanks for the vid to show that it still looks good.

My gen 3s are about 6 months old now and one of them has developed a leak (it fogs up after a wash at the bottom of the lens. Do you guys recommend drying it out and silicone sealing the crap out of it or replacing the lens with the stock one which I still have? I know there's how-to's on this, but I'm a little nervous taking apart 2 (almost) perfectly good headlights without knowing the outcome. It is hard to do? What are the things to look out for?
Oh, and don't say "get retro's". They're simply not my taste. I'd buy a new set of gen 3s before buying retros. Just my opinion. Thanks,

replacing the lens with stock would be the best option imo, as more silicone will just harden and not hold the seal very well, more of a temporary fix. Bake them in the oven, scrape out all of the old sealant if you can. Swap lenses, and then get a flexible adhesive, like this.
