06 recaros into an 07 lsj HELPP

hey
so i got some recaros out of an 06 ss and put them into my 07 ss.
My 07 has the passenger airbag setup, where the recaros only have driver weight sensor.

what are my options to get the service air bag message and airbag dash light off??

The seats were swapped for mine and I did not have a chance to pull the old seat apart, so i have no spare weight sensor.

Any info is appreciated,
I have tried to search for this info and did not find much between the 30000 comments of unrelated chat in the forums.

yes you need that weight sensor... basically you should have taken it from your old seat. You can buy another is the other option.

Once you have that part, you have to take the skin off the recaros and place the sensor underneath... there already is a slot for them on the underside where you would sit. I think there are pressure screws (like 4) or you can use adhesive tape to lay the sensor down. Once thats in, just put the skin back together and connect everything back... should be good to go.

I put 06 ss leather seats into my 08 L61. All I did was swap the seat pans where the sensor is, then put the cushion and skin back together on top. You can buy the pan, I heard they aren't cheap. Might have luck at a recycler.

hmm maybe thats the best option. if it did not have the sensor in the passenger, does that mean those seats are from a redline, and not an 06 ss?

They were probably from a redline. Not sure when recaros started in the ss. The headrest is definitely a different shape with the redline vs the ss.

I have heated recaros in my 07. I swapped all the guts/sensors/heaters from my 07 leathers. No issues at all.

Yeah I when I swapped mine, I had both seats apart and back together in under an hour.

awesome, yeah i should have gutted the old ones before i got rid of them.

the issue is, people want to much money for the pad. Maybe getting an old base model seat with the sensor pad from a junkyard for like 75 bucks would be best.
