Body kit is on.
So, last night I installed my body kit. Ill let the pictures do the talking.
WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k3...e/DSC07206.jpg LAST SUMMER: http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k3...e/DSC07539.jpg NOW! http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k3...e/DSC07971.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k3...e/DSC07972.jpg Oh and if you want to post "your a fake ss" or anything along those lines, dont bother. This is IMO the only good looking body kit avaliable for the cobalt so that is why i got it. Next on the list is a set of ss/tc grilles and a new exhaust tip. |
Meh......
It looks good, just don't race anyone. Total price? |
looks nice. how much you spend total?
lower it
looks good
you...with the 4x4...LOWERING SPRINGS!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!@
100000000000x better just lower and your set thumbs up
Haha yeah ill get wooped lol... I dont race anyways.
For paint and the modification of the rear lip to get it to fit was $800 The body panels came out to about $1600 (price is high becasue i got them thru gm) other Misc. pieces were $400 So it was fairly costly but all the parts were new so that hiked up the price considerably |
nice job. looks flawless to me.
Im not gonna lower it, as i drive it in the winter and the roads are pretty bad around here. I do have the FE5 springs on there which are way better than my FE1s

Switching out the springs was not an easy task for me. The rears were cake, but I could not get my spring compressor to compress the spings enough to get the strut bot loose. Ended up taking it to the shop. Do not want to go thru that again. Plus, I would need to get an alignment 2 times a year if i kept switching them out.
i believe with sportlines you dont need to get an aliegment but i see where your coming from with switching out the front..
whenever you mess with your suspension you should get an alignment. After putting on the FE5s my car pulls to the right, so i gotta get i down to the shop sooner than later.

ive done about 6 sets of springs on cobalts though  only takes me about 1.5 hours to do everything now  |
for god sakes what is the point of making a 2.2 look like a ss/sc it looks clean no joke but u would of saved tons of money if u just bought a aftermarket kit.
ss clone? naw sike man it looks nice 4x4 i hear that all the time with the skittle i gotta drop mine as well
The piece along the doors that's held on by 3M tape needs to go. ;)
Looking really good!!!! I would go with the ca #1 springs. They dropped only an inch for me front and 1 1/2 back. That's the least amount of drop that's out there besides pro-kit.
im going to laugh my ass off if the insurence company charges you extra for being a "SS" cobalt instead of a LS/LT
looks good but im not a fan of the whole changing your ls/lt to ss look
go for something different and original i say |
Ha ha. I doubt that would happen. Unless their idiots. Wait........hmmmm
Make sure you tell em it's not
