Custom mesh grill with Hella Supertones

Bought some Supertones cause I always thought they looked neat when I'd see them on Subarus. Of course, with Cobalts nothing in our lives is easy, so there was no convenient place to mount them. Four L-brackets later, I had them mounted in front of the grill where I wanted them.

This freakin' mesh grill. I started this project, probably, in 2007. I wanted a mesh grill, and GM didn't yet offer one, so I bought a spare grill and cut away the slats, sanded the sides smooth. Tried and failed painting it myself several times. This was actually my very first of many painting projects. Never got it right with this one. Lost interest. Years later I got it professionally painted, and shortly after started putting in the mesh. Lost interest. Recently I finished the mesh.

I figured these two mods would go pretty awesomely together; the grill being all the better to showcase the horns.

Pardon the filthy car.

Liked. How did you fasten the mesh to the plastic grille cutout?

I never claimed to have an interest in taking pictures, I just mentioned that my girlfriend got me a camera for Christmas and suddenly everyone's a critic.

Yes, the fitment on the lights is pretty terrible. The weird thing is that they fit much worse than the stock lights. My buddy has connections with a body shop and they're going to try to get better fitment with the lights and bumper. It's just a matter of when I want to be carless for a week.

You should be able to get the lights to fit better yourself.. there isn't much to them. i personally wouldn't pay anyone for that

are you sure they are in the brackets correctly? looks like the bottom tabs are seated correctly at all.

I think I'll do this with the G5's kidney grills but with purple/pink and ultraviolet led lights. Where did you get these?
