I just debadged my G5 yesterday it looks sooo much cleaner! I also took of the two GM things on the sides

JINNER44 02-08-2009 02:13 PM

yea i was thinking about doin that too

sport08 02-08-2009 02:18 PM

i would just leave the SS where it is. all i did to mine was take off the big ass bowtie and it looks 100% better

JINNER44 02-08-2009 02:21 PM

the the bowtie is so ugly. i still wanna take of the cobalt and not sure about turbocharged

Hmm... there's millions of other threads like this about debadging, with some pretty good methods of removal...

I say just strip them all off... then post pics ;)

I was a little nervous about doing this to my brand new car but once i was done, it was pure sex

JINNER44 02-08-2009 03:25 PM

yea i just took off my bowtie and it have little tiny scratches

buff your trunk when you get done, I had the same problem, took them right out.

JINNER44 02-08-2009 05:54 PM

im considering that but i really dont wanna buff it too much cuz i might burn it

get a micro fiber rag and hand buff it, don't put 1000 LBS of pressure on it when you're rubbing it, but use enough pressure, you'll see then start to disappear, then after that maybe use some claybar on it and they'll be gone.
