Front grilles

Hey, I installed a new top and bottom front grille a few weeks ago and it was finally nice enough outside to get pictures. I got them from Crutchfield.com and they really weren't that bad to install. Just thought I'd post the pictures for you all to see.

It only took about 2 hours or so. The upper grille took longer than the lower one, but it wasn't that hard to do either one. The grilles came with instructions that were easy to follow. With the Cobalt though, it required some cutting for the upper grille. The stock grille has a plastic piece that extends under the hood. You just have to cut the actual grille off of that piece.

Bent

One of the bars on the top grille looks a little bent. Maybe its just me but it doesn't look straight.

Ya, it looks like the bottom bar in the middle section.

Are there any front grill parts that are solid enough to protect the cooler behind them and a deflector that fits under to force fresh air up into the engine compartment? Or would this raise the temperature even more than damaged fins?

I know after 3 years of highway driving in northern Canada and my Cavalier looked like it had been shot blasted, so many of the fins were so deformed. 6 hours of labor with a screwdriver and knife to straighten them made a difference in the idling temp of the engine.

Yeah, it does look slightly bent. Not sure if it's because of the photo or if it's really like that. I've never noticed it before. I'll have to take a look.
