I didn't have it insatalled at the dealer, it came in a plastic bag. I was stopped more than once for not having it on, so instead of getting a ticket for it, I just put it on. It's secured by 3 big aluminum rivots, so if you take it off expect some holes in your bumper.

I had to buy one since I got the car in SC, but registered it in NH. I double sided taped the plate mount to the bumper for inspection, but after that I removed it since I'm stationed in Charleston, SC. No holes in my front bumper!

Yea in CA we are suposed to have one but half the cars here dont so they cant pull you over for it but if they find anoter reason to pull you over then they can get you for that too, ive been pulled over twice and neither of them have noticed/bother me about it. it looks too good to have one on there, still need to fill the hole tho.....

u need one in NY, and 99% of the cars have the front plates on, and u do get pulled over for no front plates, so i just kept mine on... it does look sooo damn good without the front plate tho

my car was from indiana i belive and you dont need one there (think thats where my dealer shipped mine from) and when i came to pick it up the guy came at my baby with a powerdrill and i stopped him a foot away and said id put it on...little did he know i was lying. now i have it layin in my back floor and tell the cops that the dealer never put it on and i dont have to tools to. works every time...and you need to edit your poll to include the people that never came with em

You need one that says, I don't have to worry about it cause my state only uses one plate.

I live in Ontario and we have to have them it sucks.
I tried to get my car before they put it on but hte mechanic who PDI it put it on so I left it.
I was going to make a removable mount that tuck under the front and bolted on to whatever i could bolt it to but once i saw it was allready on the car I didn't want to take it off and deal with the holes.
I have thought about those bumper plugs.
Has anyone tried them?

took the front plate of and patche the holes....be very wary of doing this though...the front bumper is made of urethane or some type of plastic like that and the filler is extremely hard to work with......only one of the 3 holes on mine turned out right.....
