And i love you too. dont make things weird. i didnt know if you were talkign to Efactor though, cause i hear hes a good lookin guy

OH and if some1 has a spare set of reverse lights I can buy from ya, let me know. I got to the shop today and you can see fuckups from the paint stripper up under the paint. I sanded and primed them, im just gonna get them smooth and paint them the charcoal black and they just wont be functional. But when I install them theyll look normal but you just will never see them light up untill i get another set.

tell me about it. Ill get some black ones. Iv been saying that for like 6 months though. But now i really got too lol
I go to Cape Fear Community College in NC, its the only one around here in NC with an Autobody/ Automechanics program. There both pretty solid programs. I wanted to get my degree in both, but ill be moved b4 i can do that. But if things dont work out and i need to go back to school, thats what ill do. I need to go over there so those guys can give me a free alignment

alot of people come in there thinking "ill just take a class and wammo paintjob." doesnt work like that. And if they stay motivated and actually get something painted. it usually sucks/chips/flakes/runs like hell/ clear peels off when they unmask/etc.
hey Gest, how difficult was the valve cover? I'm looking at getting mine done soon. Just bolts, coilpacks, and pull the breather from the back right?
PS looks ballin out of control!

im gonna be honest with you. Valve cover ******* SUCKS. everythign was pretty straight forward but the vent from the valve cover to the turbo, holy **** what a nightmare it was to disconnect. alot of pulling, prying with flatheads and clip tools. The 10mm bolt on it is a pain to get to, and then when you get your **** all painted, trying to put that damn line on is a paint and i rubbed some paint off my engine bay that i had to touch up and a tiny bit on the backside of my valve cover just from trying to manuver it to get that **** on. Finally after some grease i got it in, and dropped the bolt and still cant find it. looked everywhere with a magnet and flashlight. Called dealer, cant get one of those bolts unless you buy the entire turbo. So i put another in there that doesnt fit right. Oh well. Thats that story
Anyways
I was tired today, iv just been getting exhausted from this, spent most of the morning just put the valve cover on and hooking everything up and adding coolant and getting it cranked and running for the 1st time in like 2 weeks. Then just took it out front to wash it up with a scotch bright and continue sanding the car. Just gotta keep scuffing it up everywhere so i get good paint adhesion.
Removing the lip kit and holy christ that things a nightmare too. Got the sides popped out enough to sand and scuff them up and behind them, the front I got off, but the rear I cant get off, do you have to remove the entire rear bumper to remove the rear lip on a cobalt? It seems like it, and i figured id do that tommorow. Seems theres more lips behind the styrophoam in the bumper. Cant get to them unless i remove the whole bumper. But heres some pics:

^cant get the rear disconnected any more then that

yea i got both sides disconnected, but i cant reach the clips further in. After that, the styrophoam starts in the bumper support and you cant see or reach behind it.

^looks like im gonna have too. what a pain in the ass lol. Thats tommorows project. I think im gonna leave them kind of disconnected put on the car, just dont push them on all the way so i cant paint them and get the clear and candy beneath the lip.
