hids and projectors

if i got the projector lights for my car and put hids in them how could i put hids in the high and low beams of the lights? the car was only ddesigned for a single light for high and low so i was wondering if i could use hids for both with the projectors or would it be to much for the wiring harness?

You could use 2 HID kits in both the reflector for the high beams and the low beam projectors. You don't need to worry about them drawing too much current because only one will be on at a time.

Also, everyone complains about HIDs in reflectors blind people, but you only use the high beams when people aren't around so your good there too.

the ebay projectors have an extremely good high beam setup.

putting another HID bulb in them would be a waste IMO.

just put a set in your lows, and stick with halogens for high and save some $$$

yeah i didnt think bout them not being on at the same time but if they have a good high beam then i wont worry bout using hids for that cuz they do cost to much to just waste money on..

HID's for the lows....

You do not need them for the highs as anOmalous said.

thanks for the info.. i just wanted to make sure they would be bright enough before i bought them cuz the high beam reflector is so small on the the projector lights i didnt think they would be all that bright.

Yea, you will only need the HID's for the low beams. I dont know about others on here but the light output from the halogen bulbs that came with the projectors is better than my stock headlights.

But if you really want to get HID's for the high and the lows you will need 2 HID conversion kits. And that will be over $400

I am running a different bulb then stock halogens (can't remember the name off the top of my head), and they are close to the same white color as my 6000K HID's I have in the lows. I am also running yellow fogs....I will get some nice pics on here soon for ya.

I had the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in my low beams(projectors) and it started to melt my lense so I had to go back to the normal halogen. And now I have to order a new set of projectors. I will probably get the HID conversion kit at the same time. At least with those I dont have to worry about burning the lense.
