hot import nights (magazine) writer says my car isnt flashy enough.
so my wife is trying to model and she got accepted to be a model for street trends (owned by hot import nights ).
there is a writer for the magazine local to me and he wants to find good cars to take pictures of and possibly go in some magazines.
well he looks at my car, all black and clean and says its not "flashy" enough.
apparently you need a body kit, custom paint, and all kinds of rice to even be considered (you should see this guys mustang)
im kinda disappointed that there is still people and magazines out there that only care about looks and dont care about function...
the funny thing is tho, i have an srt4 that has some stickers on the front bumper (previous owner) and the guy said he might consider that.... wtf?
and for you guys who have never seen the meets, these are the kinds of cars that get featured. what a joke.

ya but magazines like that need tha supa gaudy **** to get into their pages.. i mean cmon, that first car has mirrors under its wheels... MIRRORS UNDER ITS WHEELS lol jus sayin...
well you have to look at this way in the tuner world typically cobalts don't turn heads so if you want a feature your car is going to have to stand out from the rest. Not saying that you have to get a super wide body kit or slam it to the ground but what is going to make your turbo cobalt stand out from the rest of the black, wingless ones.
but HIN is about the over the top cars that's there niche market and what appeals to their average reader. typically to get a feature nowadays you need to have insane power output, insane looks, or know someone at takes pictures for the mag or writes for them.
we just need to work together to get our cars noticed

Magazines like that are a joke, they still live in the fast and the furious days. That's why I stick with modified, they don't go for the wild stuff they wanna see clean, solid builds, a balance of performance and style
