Too broke for wheels sooo...

I'm thinking about taking these...

and painting them vic red...maybe painting my steelies a more glossy black...

I'm going for a black and red theme fyi...already have tint, black projos and vht tails...soon to be painted front bowtie and debadged rear and sides. The silver wheel covers aren't workin w/the look.
and i'm super poor right now as the title states so aftermarket wheels aren't an option

Any opinions? Don't flame...just if you think it would look decent and if not what you would do...and don't say save for aftermarket wheels cuz it's not gonna happen unless i want my wife to divorce me.

Don't think so. Is that your way of sarcastically saying my idea is dumb?

While I'm a huge VeeDub fan, and a big fan of the old school look on VeeDub's...

...I really don't think a Cobalt can pull that look off.

Wheel covers...well...outer ring of wheel covers lol.
Ebay=fail. Cheapest are $47 shipped...not worth that much imo.
Anyone know where to find cheap wheel covers? I don't mind used since I'll be painting them anyways.

didn't even notice that. A friend of mine in high school had an astro van painted flat orange with black steelies and the chrome ring covers. **** looked good...for a van.

I'm sure it looked amazing! I've been wanting to get an astro van for some time. just too broke. astro van + killer stance + small block = bag of win.

Yup...that's what he rocked...along with straight pipes ahah. It was pretty loud.
I was also looking at the moon covers
They don't look half bad

Of course again...painting them black and red.
It's another option.

Yup and if I don't like them maybe someone will see the pics and want to buy them for their car

Well ****...I didn't expect these to cost much. Looking more and more like the 47 on ebay is a good deal
