installed my hids/projectors need help PICS
i installed my gen 1 projectors and 8000k hids (didnt get to wire the halo leds yet though)
i bought the projectors used and my question is if the aiming is already good since they were used?
also, when ever i turn my headlights on or switch to hi beams, the lights start really dim and then get brighter and sometimes blink a little. is this normal?
lo beams/fogs

hi beams

any info on the blinking and dimness i see when i first turn them on?
get on a level surface 25ft away from a wall. Lows should be one inch lower on the wall than the height from the ground to where the projector is in your headlight.
As far as the flickering/dim to bright, thats normal for HIDs, they will start off dimmer and get brighter for a few seconds. Mine only take about 3-4 seconds, another friends kit would literally take about 30 seconds to brighten up all the way.
The cut off is also supposed to look like that, thats how projectors work. Just aim them straight ahead and like I said before.
Let me correct that, each headlight will produce a patten like ____/````` but the lower line should line up horizontally from the driver to passenger headlight, not have a step up on each one.

straight line across the wall and the right (passenger ) side cvan even be a little higher....basically the drivers side 1 how it is a straight line /notch/straight line and then you would match the passenger side 1 line even with the drivers last lifted lin after the notch.

The flickering is usually if you hook the HID's directly to your factory wiring, if you were to use a harness that pulls power directly from the battery you would solve that problem. Yours beams are not aimed properly, they should be level straight across not step up on each side. You either need to raise the driver side or lower the passenger side which ever needs to be adjusted. They should look like this:

ya that's about right. The flickering sometimes happens with hids when they are warming up. Mine take about 10 seconds to warm up, but it's worth it. Also, to Jefferyss, might I recommend that you do the anti-glare mod for your headlights. I'm guessing you have the 3rd gens? Those spots of light on your garage door are causing huge amounts of glare for others. When I get home from school, I'll add a pic to this to show you how mine look after aiming/ anti-glare mod.
Edit: pics added

Honestly, I could aim them a little better, but I like them the way they are now. Also, this is uphill, which is why they seem so high.
