LED Lights

I have a 2009 Cobalt and I've been looking at LED lights; specifically backup lights and turn signals. I read that LED turn signal bulbs require a load resistor to prevent hyper flashing of the bulb because of the low emission of power it produces. What I don't know is if my car is already equipped with load resistors because A. I don't know what they look like B. I hear a lot of cars are already equipped with load resistors.

Anyone know anything about this?

A. Type led resistor on eBay, most of them are a yellowyellow block with cables.
B. Cobalts are no equipped with resistors in the rear lights, they use regular halogen bulbs. To my knowledge.

And for the first question, are you looking for performance or looks?
Halogen will give you best performance unless you put some good money for V3 Triton led and reverse HIDs.
But regular LEDs are only for looks. I have tested so many LEDs, I ended up with Sylvania lightbulbs (I was looking for performance).

Nah just the look. I'm probably not going to do the LED turn signals in the rear I was looking at the fronts. I figured if I was changing the color I might look into LEDs but I might just stick with the regular bulb. LED reverse lights are just for looks as well.

That just sounds dangerous.

Unless some retard pulled up to my rear bumper at a red light and I felt like blinding him for a few minutes.

My HID experience with headlights sucked so I'm not in a rush to get them in the rear lol

My brother literally just got the 6k V3 triton's yesterday after being on backorder for 2 months. He hasn't put them in yet... but the quality of them... holy ****.

I can't believe how much effort they put into these things, easily worth the money and I'm probably going to ask for a set for christmas.

They have a built in resistor that you just have to find to mount somewhere. You can spin the bulb to make it extend further out if you'd like. It's all plug-and-play too.

Oh and you can choose to wire in the dimming wire for night time if they blind people... but who cares about that
