LED Turn Signal Questions

I'm looking into buying LED turn signals for the headlights and tail lights. Of course we all meet Mr. Hyper flash when we do it.

A friend of mine told me that if I buy the bulbs that have the same voltage/wattage whatever then I wouldn't need load resistors because the power output wouldn't change. Of course this is the kind of guy who claims to know everything about cars yet his truck sits in his garage in pieces more than it's on the road.

I'm just curious to see if this is true, and what bulbs I would have to get. Not that I care either way if I need resistors but if I can avoid steps then I will.

Just get resistors if you can't stand them blinking fast.

Or just get over the fast blinking, like most people.

I guess I'll just have to do the math to figure out what load resistors I need. None of the LEDs I can find have the wattage listed so it's a pain.

You can try a LED flasher if you want to go that route, I know autozone carries them but not sure if they have your vehicle specific in stock or not or you can get them on line as well.

you need 6ohm, 50w load resistors that can be found on ebay. I have them in my headlights and taillights and they do the job.

Hyper flash is fun! Makes you feel like you're going faster! Lol. I mean how often and long do you have your blinker on honestly? You sit st lights in a turn only lane with it on for a minute? I barely ever have mine on but I didn't recently buy led amber lights for the front and red for the back myself waiting for them in the mail at the moment

6ohm 50w resister is what you need. You will need one per LED bulb. I have a how-to written up on how to install with pictures. LED Flashers do not work for our cars unfortunately. Hope that helps!

Yeah you won't find an led with the proper resistance. An standard bulb is basically a resistor LEDs don't work that way. Resistors are the way to go. I don't think you need resistors for front and back if I'm not mistaken. 10ohm on each side should do it.
