New custom headlight project.

Just letting you guys know that i'm planning something different for a headlight project. Today i just bought two pairs (read 4) Infinity FX 45 Bi-xenon projectors all retrofitted with stanley clear lenses. I'm not giving away too many details yet but i'm sure some of you will figure it out. This project will take a little time but it will be worth it.

I'll keep you guys updated with pics of the whole process.

Big props out to Operatic of 3B specialties. He's going to be a huge help trying to pull this all together and for all the HID parts i'm going to need.

If your thinking of doing what I think you are doing I ask, are you making headlights for a car or spotlights to light up vegas? Hey if the power went out your local airport could still land planes, I'm sure they'd pay you for your services.

you're probably thinking what i'm thinking. I'm just doing this to be different. Lets just say there won't be any question of what is in front of my car at night.

how does everyone think this will blind everyone? They will be properly aimed of course. So oncoming traffic will have nothing to worry about. But when the high beams are flicked on, all bets are off.

I should be receiving my projectors this saturday. The project will begin soon.

Everyone gets the bad impression from the HID kits. Only a select few of us have Retro's done on this site. I've had mine for well over a year and a half now and can tell you that I've driven past hundreds of cops, drove behind cops, next to cops and they haven't even looked to see that it's a cobalt

I'm gunna fix mine now that I have the weekdays off. The paint started to flake on the passenger light sense i didn't get it sanded enouhg

I have recieved all four projectors. There hasn't been a chance for me to fire them up and test them out yet, but i'll be pulling my headlights out tomorrow to get things started!

I got these projectors from ebay. The set ran me a shade over $300 shipped for both sets. this also included the clear stanley lenses already installed. so smokin deal i couldn't pass up.

This will definitely be the first time a project like this has been tackled in a cobalt, maybe any car. A little too much? maybe. But still different and i think its going to turn out killer. I'll take some pics of the projectors and the housings i'm going to be using for the project.

the same projectors i have in my retro ive been very happy with them.

just 2 suggestions, have a way to disengage the second set,
po-po wont like 2 sets of headlights...

and please run relays on your hid kits.
2 sets drawing off your headlight wires could be disasterous

QFT

Although, since he is going through the trouble to retrofit, I assume he knows this.

I have seen many quad projector setups on HIDPLANET.COM, I don't know if I have seen dual bi-xenons. Can't wait to see the results, I wish you luck!

don't worry. I'm running aftermarket projectors with HIDs and factory fog lights with HIDs. Both sets have relay harnesses. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Project is on hold at the moment. About an hour and a half ago, my differential decided to blow up and put a hole in the diff housing and crack the transmission housing.

Anyone have a spare F35 laying around?

Yeah, i haven't seen a dual Bi-xenon set up yet either. I might have to post up there sometime.
