You can buy them off ebay, or go to your local vinyl shop and get them done. Shouldnt be more than 20 bucks, if that. Thats the cheapest way.
Or you could get them painted on, but im not sure i'd personally wanna do that route. Too permanent.
Most every one ive seen though, the stripes are too thick and dont line up with the front fender cut lines. That silver one does though. I think a subtle contrast would be best (dark silver on a silver car, gunmetal on a black car, etc. Im personally not a fan of the super contrasting colors for this mod.

if its not a C4 or C6 grandsport it does not belong there... we give one of my buddies absolute hell for the ones he has on his C5 FRC... even tho it makes 700+ hp... its also a factory option on the Toyota Yaris now lol...

Wrong, they were used LONG before the C4...it just made them famous to our generation. They've been used since the 60s on Corvette GSs, Shelby cobras and more. It was simply to distinguish multiple entries of the same car in the race. 1 stripe was car number 2, 2 stripes was car 2. Also used on datsuns and many others throughout the decades.
And 2009cobalt...are those painted?

I'm considering doing some in flat black on my driver's side. I think I might actually go out and just buy some Plasti-Dip and to it with that to see how I like it. If I don't like it, it's Plasti-Dip and it'll peel right off easily. If I do like it, I'll call the paint shop haha
