Thanks tommy. The lights look really green in the one pic. I just turned them on and let them on for a while. They are the xbh1 bulbs. Very bright!!

I'm looking for some really good ccfls for my retros and also to put around my fogs. What ccfls do u guys have that would be good for external use

These "should" be waterproof, for all I know. Some extra siliconing might not be a bad idea. You'll want to put the inverters somewhere dry if you can.

CCFL angel eyes - Retro-Solutions Store

Make sure you get one that has a plastic casing like these do, you don't just want bare ccfl rings.

the ones i got from 3bspecialties are already water proof and work great, also got em at a good price for the pair, $22. suggested inverter mounting, far outside of the head light brackets. used mounting tape for em.

Trim black paint followed by 2 part clear on the housing. Not sure what you mean by ”outside”

I never painted that part. But any paint that works on plastic should work. I'd either sand it a little or hit it with some adhesion promoter first.

mines came out ok. mite sell them though. shoulda left the shroud chrome and just popped in the projector. o well. may start a second set.

got some leakage in there but looks great,did you use a slight vht on the lenses? they look a bit tinted

yeah thats actually condensation left behind on the light. ill be taking care of them today. as for the tint none. they are the SS smoked lenses.
