nah but i have been thinking about just making a few sets and selling them haha. cause i know some people might want to buy a set but knowing they would have to wait a few weeks really pushes a lot of potential buyers away. after all, if were honest most car purchases are impulse buys haha

Got my DDM projector kit today. Super excited to start building these retros! They'll be pretty basic. Matte black lights, mini h1 projectors with Gatling gun shrouds color matched to my car. Throwing blue demon eyes in for fun too. Going to paint the back of the projector blue so the projector lens looks blue when the headlights are off then just use the demon eyes at night when parked and such.
So the kit came with windshield sealant to put the lenses back together. Which is actually really clever. Far less messy and cleaner than a silicone. But I've also read some don't do anything, just reheat the headlights a bit and stick the lens back in with the factory glue. Can it be done and be leak free?

I take a good half hour reheating the housings and then scrape out the OEM sealant while still hot with a screwdriver until theres nothing really left, then when i put them together tryy to stretch one continuous piece of the new sealant around the perimeter, almost filling the channel. press together, heat for 5 minutes, then press until the clips clip.

Oci butyl us great but messy. In the cold weather it's ok. In the summer it becomes very tacky and messy.
Morimoto retro rubber is freaking amazing.
Nothing beats oem glue though.
I suggest if the lights are old. Remove the old sealant and apply new. If they are new. Crack em open. Push back all the sealant. Add few more. Heat up in oven when closing the lights. For starters this is the way to go.
I'm just spoiled and use the heat gun lol
