polishing oem center caps..

Has anyone polished the oem center caps? I'm planning on buy some cobalt ss/sc wheels and they are polished wheels. I own a g5 and don't want the Chevy center caps so if I get them I will buy Pontiac center caps. Havent found polished caps on eBay so I'm wondering if i can polish the grey ones that look machined.

I have them. You gotta remove all the paint from then first.

Alright, so it is possible. Thanks. I know they have some kind of clear coat but are they painted? Me and my bro polished his lt cobalt wheels and the where only cleared
