i dunno...i havent installed HIDS...the 2nd gens have CCFL and they are bright as hell....i really cant envision a reason to install HIDS into a CCFL projector....cuz i think i could kill someone due to blindness if i had my high beams on with these CCFL lights...if you need somethin brighter than this then you need glasses or night vision..lol

1) They are hard to align right. They dont just bolt in like stock ones. I didnt realize they had to be adjusted and one was rubbin on my hood. It chipped off some paint.
2) I already had one ccfl bar go out and the leds are ugly. Im gonna cut the wires to disable em.
3) One of my high beam reflectors is off center now. Not sure how that happened.
4) I found out you have to turn the screws a lot to aim em. I was doin it from the top and its very hard to move it fast that way. My aiming screws arent broken so im replacin this complaint lol. Theres dust nd some lil stuff stuck behind the glass which is really noticeable when the lights are on.
5) The beam pattern isnt so good. Its scattered, some of it i think is cuz they used the same exact stock lenses. The three lines that seperate the main beam and turn signals get in the way of the beam of the projectors. The lines look out of place too.

Its not bad once u know how to do it. I have to pull on the headlights and tighten them while im still holdin on to them. Just make sure that the corner of ur hood isnt rubbin.

Polish Paul is only one of a few that had a problems. Most (as in 95% or more) have had little or no problems with the headlights. Yes there are some "design" issues as the three lines on the lenses (same as the stock lenses) and they are a snug fit at first. But I have not had one single functional problem with mine and I get LOTS of compliments on them.
They are absolutely worth it IMO, and I would not let one or two people who have had issues with the lights let you sway your decision. If you are like that with any mod, you are not going to be doing anything to your car because there is ALWAYS people who have had great success with a mod, and others who have not. Just the way it is in the aftermarket.

I would not blame you either Polish Paul for being upset. If they were on my car I would be the same way. Unfortunately for you, you got a set that seems to be a lemon. Too bad you can't use the lemon law!!

k ummmm...... CCFL is just the type of HALO.... not the projector, the projectors are just regular halogen H1 lowbeams and H7 highbeams, so yes...you can definately run H1 hids in these and i strongly recommend you do so as you will get an amazing light output. But again, the CCFL is only in the halos and just makes the halos really bright but they dont provide a source of light output. unless you are in your dark garage...lol

I had the 1st gens with HIDs but when i bought the 2nd gen the HID's only fit in the highbeams (H1) so now i have CRAZY bright highbeams and halogen lows. Thanks for correcting me though! haha
