I am very excited.... This morning a guy came up to my door and said he saw me driving a red SS/SC just like his. He is going to have to give his car back to the bank cause he cant make his payments, and wanted to know if I might want some tires. So I went downstairs and saw that he had the seats with red inserts. Which mine doesnt have.... I asked him what he wanted for them and he thought about it and said he would take 200 for the seats and the door pannels!!!!!!!!! I was shocked.... So we switched seats and pannels and now the car is goin back to the bank and all is happy.... Just wanted to share that cause I was very happy!!!!

the reacaro seats dont come in colors. at least not the ones from the factory. they should only come in black and gray. and blue if you have a redline.

Then who makes the seats with the color inserts?

If they just had red inserts and the door panels had red inserts, then it was just a factory option on the color.

What color were yours? They had to be black, cuase if im not mistaking, then red cars only came with red or black inserts. Yet it was a free option to choose.

ya mine just had the black inserts... i couldnt fine a red with red inserts only a yellow with the inserts and i didnt want yellow.... But still i am still happy to have the inserts

So you paid $200 for a free option on your car... sorry man.

I guess I didnt know they had the stock option.... When I was lookin around I couldnt find them.... So I guess that kinda blows but hey I have my inserts now...

the inserts are not a free option last i knew..... when i ordered mine they were like quite a bit extra....

I was thinkin the same thing cause when I found the yellow one the only diffrence were the inserts and the car cost like a grand more....

As long as you are happy with the inserts then cool.

The Recarro's btw say Recarro and SS on them, they have a lot more bolstering and are grey mesh fabric instead of full leather.

Ya I was mistaken.... I thought the ones with the inserts were the Recaro seats cause I only had the strait back.

Then you got ripped, because they are free. ;) Go to the chevy site, and go to Build and Price for a new Cobalt SS S/C, and when you change the insert color, it doesnt affect price at all. Certain color cars could only have certain color inserts though. Here is a list for the 2007 model year colors.

i got mine in 05, so they must have changed then, and i did not end up getting them because i got a sunroof..... oh well, but yeah i know for a fact they where an extra option when i ordered mine

Yea, maybe they changed after 05, cause I have an 06, and they were not any extra. But I got Recaro's anyway, lol.

i dont like my red inserts and seats........would someone wanna trade for black? they make the car look tacky and cheap imo.
