Removing Emblems...
 

Is there an easier way, a right way, a wrong way? Can y'all give me some advice, and techniques, suggestions on removing emblems...? Thanks guys.

Put a hairdryer on it for a few minutes....it will pull right off. Use some goo gone for the residue.

Debadging? Have you used the search button? It's your best friend! Lol.

Anyways, from my past experience, I've just used two credit cards to wedge underneath whatever might be taking off. (get a hair dryer to heat up the emblems to make it easier to yank them off) Yank the hell out of the badge to get it off. There might be some sticky residue, just use some goo gone on it.

i always use a piece of fishing line wrap it around the emblem with a single knot and pull the two ends tight , and the goo gone is good for the clean up

I plan on taking the chevy badge off the trunk soon, its too gawdy IMO. So goo gone works well and dosn't mess the paint up?

i wish my experience with debadging was that easy, i ended buying adhesive and putting my bowtie back on. the black foamy stuff was not coming off for anything. that video almost makes me wanna try again.

heat, your thumb, and some xtreme goo gone... my emblem was the hardest part but it took my about 15 minutes to get it perfect.

The bowtie takes forever, but everything else is a breeze.
I just used fishing line, probably the best way. But wear gloves or else you will get some nasty cuts.
Then goo gone to finish it. It takes a while to get all that black tape off.

I used dental floss, took alot of it (kept breaking) and i think fishing line will work better. But I had something better than goo gone, it didn't work to good for me so I used a stripe off wheel. It took off the dealer lettering and the black adheasive tape quick.

i had a good experaince with my lil gm emblems... heated the bitches up and pulled... repeat until they were off then got the sticky stuff off with my finger/nail and washed with water and soap

I know at the detail shop I work at we use a heat gun to take the emblem off and use varsol to take the glue off and it works really good

heatgun, for 15 seconds, slide waxed dental floss under the emblem and it will come off. use bug and tar remover or goo gone for the excess residue. applying the heatgun again after the emblem is off will help too. just don't keep the heat on the paint for too long or you risk damaging it.

credit cards scratch..bad idea to use them.
