retro fit idea(shooting this to maven)

so i ahd an interesting idea, since i havent gone retro fit yet and plan on asking maven sometime in the next couple months to do a set for me since the projectors have to be placed inside the housing, i was planning on doing halos on them, but was thinking.... since the reflector behind the retro would most likely be paint, what if it were left chrome and another colored halo was on the back of the projector facing inside the housing and using the reflector to make the housing glow...... sounds like a good looking idea to me, but not sure if it's do-able... any thoughts?

It sounds like the demon eye mod but would be brighter since ur using the chrome piece most ppl get the demon eye inside the projector itself

That would look really cool. It might be hard to do. But anything is possible.

But how would you get it to not reflect back in the projector?. Maybe if you slipped on a led or ccfl ring over the whole backside of the projector before you mount it to the housing you could pull it off.

if you put some reflecting tape around the base of the projector(or the inside or whatever) it would keep the light out of there.. it'll praly come out ok..

As the long as the projector wasn't on it would be noticeable, otherwise its going to be drowned out.

so, im hopefully picking up a set of head lights from a totaled 07 cobalt ls. called the junk yard, said they were in 100% condition as far as lenss being intact. only 30 bucks, cant go wrong. im gonna look for a set of projectors i could jack from another car there, will ahve to do some searching... hopefully, if luck is on my side... 60 bucks for a retro fit? reason for getting the extra headlights is to not **** mine up on the first try lol

don't just grab any old projector housing. Make SURE it's a car with factory hids. That means pull the headlight and see if there is a factory ballast and hid bulb. The bulb will almost always be a philips or Osram D1s or D2s bulb. Also make sure you get a bixenon setup, such as (in best to worst order) an Acura TL, Lexus RX-350, Nissan Murano, Infinity FX-35, infinity G35/37, Escalade or Most mercedes
