Which size SS badge for front Grill?

Welp I debaged most of my 'balt this weekend, rear decklid is done as well as the GM badges on the fenders and I completely agree with you guys and gals here it looks GREAT! I'd like to put the SS badge where my bowtie is now and obviously the holes are going to be an issue. I've seen pics where people have almost completely covered them with the SS badge my question is what size is that badge? Is it the door size or the rear decklid size? Just need to know so I can order one today!

door and trunk are same size badges...

What people do is buy the trailblazer SS badge as it is bigger and use that one to cover it.

Ahhh hrmm I guess I should have looked somewhere I got the crazy idea that like other SS's the door/trunk were different sizes

Ok so I guess that leads to my next question, which TBSS SS badge? They are two different sizes for doors/rear hatch

Oh I did just remember that the 08+ is a little different I'm not sure by how much, but i have an 06 and I know 06 is 3-3/4" all 3. Maybe 05 was a little bit different too.

but regardless they are going to be too small still I believe the badges werent enlarged greatly if so, so the trailblazer badge would still be the right thing to get

Edit: ... OP go measure your badges the TB SS badge is 5-1/4" (if I'm not mistaken), my badges are 3-3/4". If you have a 5-1/4" badge then there you go

i used one of my door badges when i replaced my chevy sign up front, and then laied black vinyl over the silverish white in-lay so the badge was chrome with black letters

i dont know, i know that when i used mine, it just fit in the spot where the chevy sign was so mine worked perfect for me.

dont mind the lic plate. i use to own a z24 cavalier, so just so you dont think the cars a 2.4 ss its and lsj the plates are now Lil Vett. but this is what i did for the front badge and it was from one of the doors

I'm fairly certain he wants a large SS badge so that you don't see the top and bottom part from the old chevy symbol as much.

or there you go.

I'm still their looking for the exact same answer which SS badge do you guys use off the TB. I priced one for $20 here in town but I believe that was the door badge.

Guess the next step would be to measure the hole distance see how much is needed to cover go to the stealership and order accordingly.

Any thoughts.

Yeah I figured this was an easy one, I'm not at home so I cant measure my SS badge on my TBSS but I figured it would be easier as you'd think someone would know. I'd order it right now if that was the case LOL Sooooooooooo anyone want to tell me which it is? LOL

I used the cobalt door/trunk SS badge. IMO the TBSS badge is too big. Ours is the perfect size.

However, I think I am going to remove it and go back to my red bowtie. It's just cleaner looking.

I just got a free calender from the stealership last time I was in and in the calender was a old El Camino SS 1970 with the 454 and also a 1966 Chevelle SS with a 396 their SS badges on the front are bigger than that on the side. It's an old look that definatly is killer on the balts.

Nice pics guys
