RK Sport makes one that fits the base cobalt only (2.2L), if you want it to fit on the SS you need to remove the rear valance and have the body shop take off the bumper and fill in the slits where the SS Rear valance would slide in and then you can slip on the RK Sport rear valance if that is what you choose to do. That was an option that I could have gone with *if* I wanted to fart around and put a part on my car that was not designed to fit on there.

I think it would look good on the s/c SS :thumb: Can someone do a photoshop?

I can't really imagine true dual exhaust sounding good on a Cobalt SS....

I like the looks of dual exhaust so much better, even if it was just a "fake" exhaust tip I think it would look better.

You don't have to get dual exhaust---just a dual outlet mufler. That would look great with two 3" tips on opposing sides.

Why put dual exhaust on a car with only one bank of cylinders? V-6 and up, fine.... two banks of cylinders, two headers, run dual exhaust. Four banger? Why split it? You do need a certain amount of exhaust flow through the pipes to keep them warm enough to stay dry so they don't rust to pieces. Too much opening and you get nasty rasp and backfires..... I say stick with a single pipe... dual tips on the same side would look alright, but keep one pipe and muffler.

you can't put true duals on a 4 cylinder car and there is no difference in sound (or power really)...

your muffler and resonator choices are really what determine the sound...

Mine is a single in dual outlet muffler with the RK back piece.
