spray painted the calipers red today

So I finally painted my calipers. It took around 6 hours to do all 4 wheels (didn't get them as clean as i'd hoped) I think they turned out well.. you'll see in one picture that I got some spray paint on the top of my rotor, good thing i'm not a perfectionist! Over all I think they came out pretty well! I'll post better lighted pictures tommorow!

idk why people do things the wrong way... Your gonna have fun peeling off that paint here in a couple months...

Why didnt you just buy the caliper red paint and just brush it on? They actually do make caliper paint

Maybe saying "why do people do things the wrong way" is better.

Came out good anyways. And using caliper paint peels off too in a couple months. Your have to use clearcoat over it. Then it'll last a bit longer

It looks like you got some paint on the pads.

personally i woulda taken the calipers off it makes life easier but not everyone wants to bleed their brakes. anyways caliper paint or spray paint, brush on or rattle can, its coming off in months even with proper prep work

I think the brush on paints work better. This looks good though, I'd love to know how long it lasts.

lazy? i'm not lazy.. just didn't think it was necessary! I was pleased with the way they turned out.. like i said in the OP i'm not a perfectionist so pleasing me isn't hard. Thanks for the kudos everyone! I realize I didn't do the best job but I think they turned out well..I didn't realize the paint will only last a few months.. makes me wonder why I spent hours doing it

thanks! I was thinking about using the brush paint.. definately a wise decision if you don't want paint to get everywhere.

I did use caliper paint by the way. it was spray paint bought from a local auto store, said "high temperature resistant caliper paint" right on the can.

I've used VHT caliper paint with good results. Lasted for over 3 years being parked outdoors for two of those years without peeling [sold the car].
