Swapping 08 tc seats for 06 sc
 

my friend saw my seats and wants to do a swap and i am deffinately up for it. but...... he has the airbag and seatbelt sensors on his car and i dont. and i deffinately dont want him putting passengers in danger with his airbag not working. Can anyone give me any detailed ways to go about doing this. Anything helps.

I'll take the seats off his hands, that will probably solve your problem.

I'm assuming you have recaros? someone put the sensor in but it was a complicated process

If not, i think there is a hookup in the seat cushion anyway for "productivity smoothness", check under the seat to see if they have the sensors or not. could be worth a shot

no i actually have the black with red insert seats and he likes the way they feel for everyday driving more than his and i said i would trade him. but the problem is the airbag/seatbelt sensors

ok. i found out that this will be an easy swap after disasembling our passenger seats. I will post pics on this thread when i get them in!

EDIT: We will have to disasemble both the passenger and driver seats because his car came with both.

what i cant get is how this guy thinks that our seats are more comfortable than his... has he sat in his seat? lol

lol yeah he has and he doesnt like how it holds your upper body. and he wants the black/red look so its perfect for him. but i will say i am going to miss the black and red

I haven't sat in the SS/TC seats yet but I love how my Recaros feel. Are they really that much better?

yes.

ya they feel almost identical to the recaros but with more support in the shoulders

the seats are in and here are some installed pics. We will be making a how-to on this because some people think it is wicked hard but its not.
