In all cases, refer to you local authority for enforcement policies, current laws, rules or regulations. Your current state law is the final authority, not this website! The numbers represent the percentage of light transmitted through the tinted glass, so the lower the number, the darker the film allowed. Generally the films are sold as 5%(limo), 20%(dark), 35%(medium), 50%(light). S.U.V.s often have different regulations, which are not listed here. |
you might want to change the colors, its a bit hard to read..Otherwise good info:thumb:
|
Very nice find.
My vote for a sticky. |
if this is going to be a sticky,
#1 yellow font is a no no #2 the top needs to be fixed so you know which % is for what part of the car |
thats wat the colors are for^^
|
ah yes i see (sorta) maybe red or purple to replace yellow
|
not sure if that information is correct or not kind of hard to understand with the last number of inches or AS1. For Michigan I know the law is as follows
Windshield | 4" down from top | Any % Front Door Windows | 4" down from top | Any % Back Door/Coupe Windows | Any amount | Any % Back Window | Any amount | Any % Other limitations include that the film be any solid color as long as it is non reflective. Also it can be net or film, it doesn't matter Some other Michigan residence may argue that you are not limited to 4" in the front as long as it is 35% or less. This is not true. There was a vote last year to try and get that passed but it failed. So technically anymore than 4" from the top is illegal. On the other-hand most cops will let you get off with 35% but some are dicks and will make you remove it or get a ticket |
haha opinions put to use and much better I think

Also a list such as that is more than likey not copyrightable. It is just a compilation of facts that anyone can obtain. Unless it is unique in some way other than in it's orgainzation it probably isn't copyrightable. Phone book companies have argued this fact for years in court and time and time again the directory of a phone book has been held not to be copyrightable. Even when the comany copies another's directly with fake information designed to detect copying, the courts still say no dice. |

Question?
PA is 70%, What's this mean? What can I legal tint my windows with? |
haha 70% is almost clear sorry
|
LOL yeah i was thinking the same thing. 70% is just about a normal window. Ahhh damn laws :-(
|
ADD to List
Nova Scotia, Canada NO% | ANY% |ANY% |
DAMN! Iowa is stupid...I might push my luck anyways and go 35% on fronts.
