Yes, my ground control stuff pre-dates the fact that they stopped making them for the Cobalt.

FYI, the XXR 530 will be available in the spring in the correct 17x9 sizing and stuff if I remember your lug patter right.

They weight 20lbs a piece! :/ If you want looks fine, but this is a light weight wheel we are talking about.

Find a 17x9 that weighs less for under twice the cost and wont need spacers to fit. I can only think of 1 wheel under that and its the 949 racing ULR, which will need over a half inch spacer to not hit the strut. Remember the OP's wheels that he paid a grand for from Europe weight the same.

Speaking of 6ULs, my RS3s should be in any day for my 15x9 6uls, 12bs Just to give a little update of whats been going on this winter. I had a big chunk of cash saved up for a full STX build on the cobalt but, then decided I was sick of the lack of aftermarket support and tracking my DD that I was making payments on. So, I sold the Cobalt and bought a 92 miata that was already fully prepped for Street mod time trails. Turbo, coilovers, 4-point roll bar, SCCA log book, etc, 2008 SE divisional SM champion on the old turbo setup, it's now much faster. More importantly no car payments and unlimited aftermarket and knowledge out there.

Gay

I still miss the Cobalt, much quicker in a straight line especially in 3rd gear. An LNF swap isn't out of the question down the road though.

My bad thought they were actually light weight. The TD are 23lbs. I still pay for quality. My oz ultra's were just over 1k. No biggie. Just trade for them

Nice pickup. Cant go wrong with a Miata minus the lack of space for a DD.

If you run separate tires for autox; you can get hankook c-91's super sticky compound only come in one size 275/35 18. I run them on stock TC wheels on stock suspension with -2.1 camber up front. they rub the inner liner a little up front here and there on super tight turns.

For those interested in running these for autocross or similar, I would recommend getting +45 rear offset. It will bring the rear wheel in 15mm to match the front. I haven't had any rubbing running 255/40/17 RS3s on YYZ V1 springs.

Those tires looks like they will squirm quite a bit in the corners aka big sidewall. also running a 275/35/18 on a stock tc rim is beyond crazy, even 235's roll around on stock tc rims. You're loosing accuracy and more importantly time with ballooning tires like that.

Here's my late reply

After running this setup all last summer, I agree with you to a point. I previously ran 225/40 ZIIs on the stock wheels. There is definitely a noticeable difference even driving normally on the street. The greatly improved forward and lateral grip is worth sacrificing some steering response, to me anyway.

245 might be the way to go. I'm definitely trying them on the back whenever I need new tires, I'm undecided if I'll drop a size in the front as well.

Good to know, 275/35 on stock rim tho! oh dear. How did the rs3's treat you?
