So what are you planning on doing with a tune? I have been thinking about getting HP Tuners to learn to tune, as well as do a legal STX tune so i can stay in that class. Then I can have a fun tune for the streets as well Maybe even get the PRO model for data logging while auto crossing. I would love to be able to get the power to the ground faster in the low RPMs when you get caught going around a slow / tight turn in second. Currently I just floor it before I need the power so by the time I hit the point I want my power the turbo and RPMs have built up and it starts going.
Also, have you had any issues with the pedder springs not being stiff enough to stop the tires from hitting fenders / struts? I know you said earlier that it was very very close. I want bigger tires so bad, but I want to make sure it will all work out before spending too much money!

Oh, and nope the front has never rubbed at all. The rear has rubbed a few times where the rears poke out past the fenders just a little bit. Not bad just touched it when I have gone over really big dips with weight in the back. LOVE the pedders!

exactly! the low second gear stuff is painfully slow sometimes, although the clock still shows its faster than going to first. I don't have much tuning experience other than some old safc2 stuff but, there is so much great info out there and I'm pretty OCD about researching and learning car stuff lol. Mainly just raise the rev limiter to 7k, raise timing til it knocks then back it off to a safe level and try terms cam tables he posted on HPT forums. Plus, work on a hot street /drag tune Let me know if you get HPT by that time I should have the STX tune pretty worked out and I'll send it to you.

They are very nice so far. Would love to feel some new struts and shocks paired with 500 and 600 lb springs! FINALLY getting OTTP to ship me the new hardcore bar so I can't wait for the next AutoX event. Missing Toledo this weekend as I guess the nationals fill up really fast. Hopefully next year I can make it to a few of those, I think our cars would shine on the bigger courses where we could hit 3rd possibly. Had two events with OVR last weekend. Finished 3rd on Saturday, but would have one if I didn't hit a cone! Sunday it was raining and I pulled off a win. Beat some RX8 that had 265 star specs who was supposed to be very fast and had the national 'tire rack' sticker on his car. Enough with my ranting, I just get so excited about driving this car around fast

I had my gopro mounted looking at the rear wheel to check travel and rubbing last time out...
With Pedders , 17 x 9, +24 offset (or 151 backspace) and 245 Z214's I had some fender rubbing in the hard bumpy corners.
I will try to post some video later.

Rubbing where? I wouldn't expect a 235 to rub the top of the fender with your offset. Or are you rubbing the rear fender liner?

I had some very hard corner and figure 8's and it rubbed on the top of the wheel well and snagged part of the folded in metal and bent it out on the front side of the wheel well. I can take pics....but I have pics of me accelerating up the hill at the hill climb and that back end can drop haha

May be a stupid question... Im on sportlines and plan on running 18x9 +30 in the rear with a 245 nt05 but after reading some of this i assume ill have some rubbing? My buddy is running 245 nt05s on sportlines, he is lower than me with no rubbing the only thing thats different is hes on stock rims so if anything mine would be stretching a little correct?

nah, keep spending all my play money on more goodies for the car. I'm gonna figure out how to move the strut in for more camber (grind just a little on the struts or JBP camber plates or hack up the strut tower for the GC plates, I don't like any of those options ) then I'll put some money into seat time, been autocrossing a bunch though.

[QUOTE=jboogie;5883731]The grip on the z214s muct be pretty crazy!]
1.3 - 1.5 G side loads on smooth corners and 2G plus spikes when I hop the curbs...
I had the pedders rears checked at a local raceshop and got 125lbs rates - too soft for me.
So I made some custom adjustable perches to fit 2.5 id coil over springs. They had a set of 250 x 7 tall springs in stock so I threw them on for Mosport this past weekend and ordered a set of 450's. The is much better now, but I cant wait to try the 450's out.

You get a rear bar yet? I'm on the XXX. Do that before you up the rate again. BTW- I think 450 is about all you should try on the Konis before revalving them. Some people run them up to 600, but I think that's too much.
