Air Splitter Prototype

Well I finally got my prototype 2 piece Air splitter roughed in. I made it 2 piece so it can be put on the car in different configurations. This will require trimming . It can be installed according to Scca rules or installed so it sticks out more. Heres some pics

Our lip is too long for the universal ones. Their all made for Jap ****. I had one of those on before . It cost $160 and didnt cover the back foot of the lip and thats where you hit cones at

Ill have it on in a month.

Looks good. You modded a stock lip for the splitter plates?

It just needed the bottom of the lip ground flat and I bought the material for the lip at Curbell Plastics

Extends too much on the sides, and not enough in front.

Its adjustable. It can be moved closer on the sides and futher out in front since its 2 piece. If you look at the pictures you will see what I mean. Some classes its not allowed past the tip of the bumper. Ill dummy it up on the car in a couple of weeks . Its a bitch to cut that ABS but after some trial and error I got it with a jig saw on medium speed

You know for SMF it can extend 6 in from the front as viewed from above, and as you know SP is more restrictive.
I have to if there is something we can do. I am trying bigger tires to see if that will work.

I could do 1 that extends out 6 inchs. How far from the tip of the front fenderwell should it extend out on the sides ? Should it be contoured to match the shape of the lip ? The material is fairly inexpensive.
