First time was a blast

Had a fun run for the kickoff for the season and I figured this would be the best time to break the ice and learn more how the car handles and how I drive. I love Autox and I was getting better .

a vid of one of the runs.

Is it just me or does your rear rim look like its really close to the pavement? Is your tire sidewall folding over?

you need to either get some more air or more tire in the back(or both), also looks like raising the back would help too.

Thanks for the tips but I was just doing it for fun and ***** and giggles. we kept changing from 38psi-45psi during runs as the temperature outside was getting warmer.

Heres one of the vids. good to watch myself and see what areas I need more work in if I decide to sign up for the season.

For ***** and giggles or not, its not safe be running your tires like that....best case scenario youll destroy the tire, worst case you ruin an expensive rare wheel, your car and get yourself hurt. Weird **** happens at auto-x's sometimes man, If youre gonna do this again you should throw a different setup on for the day. Theres load of people who switch wheels for track days and auto-x, youre not proving anything doing on the LMs. Be safe man.

FYI - your car is pogoing from a lack of rebound damping, and/or bouncing off the bumpstops, but if you had enough rebound, hitting the bumpstops wouldn't be THAT bad.

what wangspeed and maven BOTH said hit the nail on the head...... you were freaking out about your brakes almost catching fire at tail of the dragon. this is no different and just as hazerdous both to you and your car the people surrounding.

***** and giggles or not this is one of the instances you need to not worry about weather someone with the same color car buys your exact rims and worry about the potential hazzard it is. chances are too if you had 45psi in there with an un hot tire most tires carry a max a 44psi(could be wrong with your current tire) but if thats the case you were over inflated from the beginniing and when they heated up way over inflated. these guys are right....if your going to auto x more then get a different setup on there or like i said before more tire.

who gives a ****, seriously. when someone wants to go out and try something, they don't go buy the best equipment right off the bat. are you gonna go buy $250 worth of golf discs before you even learn how to properly throw? are you going to go buy coilovers, hub swap, wheels, slicks, skinnies, built trans just to go make your first pass down the track???

let it go, he went out for his first autox day and had fun, nothing posted in the thread is going to cause time to reverse so he can go back and put proper wheels and tires on. I know he never does anything half assed, so i foresee him getting a proper setup if he really wants to keep competing.

the point is your freaking out at totd over brakes...you change your wheels so your car isnt the same as someone else but when your tires folding over in the rear you brush it off like you dont care.

im not hating on your "stanced" car. and i understand you were just tyring this. so you know for next time you should change something up. the whole point i made in my last post was that you use to care about things that were a big deal like your brakes and i just found it funny that you brushed the whole safety thing off like its not a big deal thats all.
