Hoosier A6 as intermediate tires.
Thought I would post this up, I hand groove tires for some of our customers, work very well in wet intermediate conditions. Might be interesting in AutoX in cooler temps, or wet conditions, I am thinking. Probably be banned though. lol

An A6 wont work by itself on the damp track, it needs to get rid of some of the water.
Hence an "intermediate" hand grooved tire.
IN F1 full wets, intermediates and slicks both hard and soft are supplied.
There is not enough market for an intermediate tire in the club race aftermarket so they dont supply them
Some folks use their street Michelin, Conti or Goodyear or R comp tire as an intermediate. Not fast enough, not enough grip
Hope this helps.
100% correct. Grooving makes them faster.

Customer won race going away.
Yes racing is expensive. Yes winning is everything.
Everyone on the forums burns money on their cars to a greater or lesser degree, including you, I am sure; you sure dont drive a bone stock 'Balt....grooving is not that expensive actually.

Nice stuff John. Great idea, I do not know why any autox rule would ban them. However if you start winning with them then you know what will happen!
What do you charge to grove tires?
