Update: Still no news. Said he will be notified when they enter the US pre-customs. Getting antsy.

Good news: got some free Direzza Z1 Star Specs with 30% tread left so I can save a bit more for the Rivals or Z2s

It took four months the first time I ordered. I'm over two months in on the second set.

I'm 5 weeks in now, 6 weeks this Thursday.

Did you go through Team Illuminata? I'm surprised I haven't heard anything yet...

I ordered a second set a couple weeks ago. I have been using Team Illuminata.

Team Illuminata
yup.

There isn't anything they can tell you until the wheels reach the US and they get disbursed with a UPS tracking number.

There must be better shipping options.

Or is the delay because of something other than shipping?

It's not just shipping time, I'm sure. Machining time for each wheel (there are several things that are to each customers spec; hub diameter, hub depth, offset, bolt pattern, color). I assume they also wait until they have enough wheels to fill a shipping container.

I'm wondering if the +45s are less common, and since I ordered 4 this may have been the issue. I just wish he hadnt told me "it should be quite a bit faster" than 8-12 weeks. Not his fault, I'm just getting ancy and am getting closer to having the rest of the car prepped. Ive already had to race an '04 cadavalier twice (actually a really good stc car). They need to hurry up, Ive got a BRZ I need to teach a lesson!

Do you have any more pictures you could post of the wheels to get me by in the meantime?

Also what are your alignment specs if you don't mind me asking?

I autocrossed yesterday. There was no rubbing that I heard. The car drove quite a bit different, as you would expect when making a big suspension change. It felt like there was even more front grip during high speed (for autocross) corners. No understeer at all unless it was power induced by me getting on the throttle too early. I'm not running a rear bar. I'm curious to see if it will be needed again with warmer temperatures, although it was in the upper 70's yesterday, or when I switch to r-comps.

Just want to jump in here. I rally-x with Paul who owns TIM, great guy. We have bought two sets of Braid wheels from him for our WRX.

I emailed them to get an update since I ordered on January 21st. It turns out they didn't actually order the wheels after I paid.

Well that is unfortunate. Who's wheels are those that you posted above then?

Apparently a rush order with air shipping will take three weeks. Hopefully by the first week in June they will be here.

The wheels I posted are mine. I will be putting r-comps on the black wheels and pilot super sports on the new wheels.

Awesome stuff. What modification list (suspension wise) do you have? Look like BC coils but I'm curious what else. Not too many of us auto-x guys on here hah.

It's a long list, but I'll try:
LCABs
BC coilovers

This setup is by far the best for me as far as autocross results.

Haha, thanks.

Need some CABs myself.

I love how the YYZ springs feel but wish they were stiffer. I'm all about that initial feedback and quick transitions.

How do the BC coils ride/do you have different springs? Oh, and what are your rates.

They're rougher than YYZ's obviously, but not unbearable. With the LCABs and lack of rubber isolator in the top hat with coilovers, 'sharp' bumps are a little rough.

I haven't changed springs on the coilovers.
