Wheel Setup for AutoX

Hey guys what wheel set up is everyone running for roadracing/autox? I have done searching and reading, but specifically im curious as to how wide of tire the SS can run without running into rubbing issues. how wide is everyone? I know stock ss/sc run 205's and stock tcs run 225's.

AutoX is going to be limited by if you are going to run in Stock class or not. Stock class = stock wheel/tire size, end of story.

If you're running in a different class, that's still going to be your limiting factor. Read up in the rulebook.

I have to run in SMF, and I have 235/40/18 and no rubbing issues.

OP what kind of car/mods do you have? Then we can help with what tire/wheel size you should go with

I run Saab 17x7.5 BBS rims with 225/45/17 starspecs

18x8 enkei pf01s currently on 235/40/18 hankook rs3s but will be trying some star specs tomorow

Not true. Tire size is unrestricted, you have to run the stock wheel size in DS. Good size for the stock TC wheels is a 245/35r18.

245/35/18 is a wee big for a 7.5 even on my 18x8 i only run a 235

Not for a Hoosier A6. Give it a try.

I have an 06 ss sc that has sportline springs, i dont care about what class Im in, i just want to have as wide of tire as possible without having to do more than roll the fenders. Im looking to buy some new rims (wanting to go with some lighter 17's) to go with my new summer tire set up as well. From the posts here it looks like i should go with a rim width of about 8 inches and go either 235's or 245's

I also had 255/35r18 RE-01rs on 18x8s, fit without a problem.

Something to always read the rule book for. All depends on the class you want to race in.

Stock class you can run any tire size that will fit you OE size wheel. I run 235s on my 2010 TC.
