They could charge you with trespassing but if they go full retard on us we can remind them we are Timms customers and therefore allowed some time on the lot to enjoy our beverage. Security has done this to us before we just go cross the street. They usually don't bother us because unlike most of the car meet people we don't leave trash around and are not bothering anyone
We will deal with the situation as it develops, I will be out tomorrow night

Criminal trespass? Lol the Trespass to Property Act is a provincial act. You wont be getting no charge for a criminal offence. They can charge on that authority and arrest if you refuse to leave, or warn you not to come back and you do come back.

He said because we were already forbidden to be on the property (signs, maybe previous warning) he wouldn't charge us with Trespass to Property but Criminal Trespass at Night (like prowling or something). He said it would be up to us to sort it out in court! Needless to say I didn't stick around and go through that headache.

I found out from a buddy that saw someone post a picture of the sign "No loitering, no soliciting, no car meets/gatherings, no trespassing" at 403/Dundas on Instagram. Havent actually seen the sign in person that's why I said "apparently".

He can only charge you with trespass to property act. The criminal code equivalent to the trespassing offence would be if you trespassed on a DWELLING house at night. He would not dare to write a court summons ticket. Only an appearance notice ticket sending you to court, but even then TTPA is all hes got. Its just a scare tactic. Believe me, I am in this field of work. But youre right, better to avoid a ticket altogether.

I think almost any commercial property has no loitering, no trespassing , no soliciting and no overnight parking signs so that's not news, but cops coming in and clearing the crowd out is.
Well the rain is just about done so Ill see whoever tonight, I will buy timbits to win over the authorities should they crash the meet

^Yup, outlining all the prohibited activities. So from now on, we are Tim Horton connoisseurs just standing by our vehicles. When authorities walk up to us, we switch from talking about LNF's, turbo flutter to philosophical debates about whether a double double coffee is better than the new dark roast....
