Anyone wanting heated seats in there SS/SC....

Barry's Auto Upholstery in mississauga does a great job. Installation and parts come to 700 bucks if anyone is interested.

Cheers,

Jason

Not really when you think about it, if you wanted to go the dealer route and get all OEM parts your looking at close to 1000 bucks, trust me I checked. Yeah I could buy the kit from PFYC.com (american dollars), but then I have to get them installed as well and I am not messing around with leather stitched seats. Best let a professional do it.

Is it just like the dealer heated seats? Same buttons to control it?

2 options, you can use the OEM controls but of course you need to buy a new bezel, left and right switch as well as some regulator. There alone your looking at 3 or 4 hundred bucks ON TOP of the other option which is all aftermarket. I asked Barry where he puts the on/off buttons. he said they usually put then on the sides of the seat (the plastic area) or he can pretty much run them whereever you want.

I find these SS/SC seats DAMN cold in the winter, they are a harder leather and when its minus 15 outside, they are not very forgiving on your ass....

700 bucks, one time deal with warranty, I will take it.....

barry's does convertible tops, seat refurbishing, you name it, I was recommended to them from my friends at Gateway Chev, they have never steered me wrong.

Yes Yes! I've always had heated seats and it's BRUTAL when you don't have them anymore. Please let me know once you've got them installed and if they really warm up the buns well I just may make the trip.

No Way

Just do it yourself!

Don’t spend 700 dollars spend 150 and do it yourself.

I have a 2005 SS/SC and I was one of, if not the first, to have heated seats in a SS.

I ordered two heated seat kits off eBay just make sure you get a quality one. The one I got was 75 a peice and had a two setting switch and a fuse that was attached to some kind of tempreture sensor to pop if it sensed temp was getting to high.

It is time consuming about 5.5 to 6 hours to do both seats but i didn’t have any money to spare.

I used to work at a detail shop so i have some experience with interiors and the wiring was relatively simple.

Look at my pics to see images of where i mounted the switch.

Best mod i have done to date. Absolutely no problems what so ever. Heats up real quick and is 100% necessary in Michigan.

If i had the knowledge or the time I would attempt it, but this place comes with a 1 year warranty on parts and labour and quite honestly, I have no experience with taking apart leather seats. Would rather pay and let a pro do it!
