Anyone hear of Boost Theory on Dundas beside the oilchangers? They claim they can do HPT tuning but I dont know how well versed their tuner is on our LNF's.

Never heard of them when it comes to tuning LNF's, which means they've probably never tuned one.

Youre probably right. But Im still skeptical about this whole long distance HPT tuning business. I would much rather have a tuner see my car in person, tell me about everything he's doing. From what Ive read, tuning seems like serious business. It can make or break a car, that is why I'm hesitating buying HPT tuners and giving it over to some guy far away to adjust stuff to my engine... Also, it seems like the tuners on this site are not that easy to reach, so keeping in contact about the tuning process would be difficult, no?

I kinda knew that the LNF wasn't very common, but wow, no one in the GTA can tune it??

I want to get the walnut treatment done in the spring, a dyno, then a tune and another dyno (for before and after). Don't really want to drive all the way down to the States just to get than done...

Man, I have two shops in the GTA to get my Kawi fixed, but no one seems to give a crap about cars.

Hi guys, im also in the market for a tune, however id like to only have to tune once if possible so i want to get some supporting mods first. I want to get a downpipe, and was thinking of catless but was curious to know if the car will pass e-test. After a tune to clear engine codes, will the car be able to pass e test?

Also, where do you guys get your parts in Toronto? id like to get some ZZP parts but am open to buying other brands if they can be bough local.

By the way im from peterborough.

KMO43 is in Calgary Im pretty sure, so that's the other side of the country for us iammancini. Like I was saying, I'm still confused on the point of this remote tuning thing. But I mean if there really is no shop around us that can HP Tune then it's our only option. Dont get a catless DP if you want to pass e-test. I just recently installed my catted TurboXS DP and it kicks ass. Sounds very nice and cant wait to see how it performs after I get tuned. But yeah I have never actually bought anything from ZZP. Just TurboXS and modernperformance.com is also a good place to get parts for GTA guys.

*edit: Oops just noticed you're interested in local only places for parts. If its shipping costs you're concerned about, it's really not that bad at least for me and I'm a part time university student working full time lol

Ya thats a pretty far drive to come for a tune. Remote tuning is really easy and I have free Canada wide calling so getting ahold of me is pretty simple. Being in the car for the tune does make the process a bit easier but I ask for real simple feedback and I like to take small steps in tuning because it's safer. I send a hpt scanner config that records everything I need to know the only thing that is hard to remote tune is limiting boost per gear for traction but most like to have it set to 100% and control with their foot. I have also tuned a guy in Toronto so it may be possible to borrow his cable but I'd have to ask. If anyone has a question feel free to PM me I'm on here quite often.
