Looking for tuners near the Toronto area!

Is there anyone near the Toronto area who tunes? I'm just looking for the future when I get my stage kit in a month. I'm actually from the Halton region but I'm willing to meet up somewhere. I drive an 05 LSJ.

Go to the Ontario Cobalt Club website and contact SSKev.

sLAsh 03-13-2014 07:22 PM

He's out of Burlington so you won't have far to go

^^^this: SSkev. All others are just le ghey pretenders.

T-fog 03-13-2014 07:43 PM

Random ...But I have signup up twice for the Ontario club now and haven't gotten accepted lol ...I don't think there is much activity going on over there??

Powell Race Parts 03-13-2014 08:01 PM

T-fog its a sad story. Mike (Distillion) invented that site, got a lot of help with fellow enthusiasts and his good friends, and his gf. who was an outstanding contributor to the site. For lots of years, lots of work, passion, excitement.

and then it happend, Mike:

sold his cobalt
bought a truck
split with his gf

these stories dont always end well, and some things just wither away.
sad to say.

Many sites depend on the dedication of some good natured and hard working folks, mods and admins who provide good information. The two blue Cobalt mods on here are examples.

And some members, I wont mention any one as I will forget others; these members contribute good ideas, good knowledge, awesome dedication to the brand, and some great experiences. That makes the site very good.

Some sites get hijacked by nonothing naysaying downerdb types and it affects the site as many members dont care to post and then folks just go away.

Facebook is having an impact I think.

and the car is not made anymore.

I met a nice guy tonight, Chris purchased a mint SRTC LNF from a dealer near me low KM today, he was EXCITED!! Thats the magic of the SS .

( he purchased a PCV upgrade at the get go!)

LScreaminJ 03-14-2014 08:04 AM

I tried signing up for that site too but no reply. I guess that's a no go lol. Is SSkev on this site too?

Fidget 03-14-2014 10:38 AM

What is your member name. I can contact one of the admins there to get you activated. Same to you T-Fog. Post your info and I will get you activated.

T-fog 03-14-2014 11:32 AM

Oh i didn't know that..Yea that's sad and brutal at the same time.

But i came from jco and jbo learned over there that the trollers don't have much of a life, Just losers who need to open the curtains more. And you will find them anywhere.

I really hate that people do that cuz these sites are meant for people to learn from and make mistakes or ask the dumb questions ..Besides the obvious Google ones.....Wreaks it for the rest of us.

So is kevin the only admin ? There is no monitors or anything else?? Cuz if he left the scene and doesn't monitor the site or applicants, Couldn't he pass the privileges over to someone who will?? or is it not that easy ?

I tried signing with the same name T-fog and my email is womens_man_chris@hotmail.com...Let me know if you need more info

LScreaminJ 03-14-2014 03:45 PM

That would be awesome! My name on there is: LeadFoot

Fidget 03-16-2014 02:16 PM

I just sent a message to one of the Admins and hopefully you will get activated soon.

cfsnipers 03-16-2014 02:25 PM

SSKEV is meticulous. You will not be disappointed.

Fidget 03-17-2014 07:54 AM

LScreaminJ you are good to go. T-fog the admin could not find your name for pending registrations. Try again and let me know when you do.

does kev use hpt or trifecta?

plus kev only does dyno runs so its a bit more costly with him

r3v07ut10n 03-17-2014 09:05 AM

He does both, but you see Kevin for custom HPT tune. He knows his stuff.
I d highly recommend the dual tune setup personally. Its always easier on motor to have a DD tune and a a race tune, more money but worth it. I dont like rolling around with 410hp everywhere i go 24/7.

cfsnipers 03-17-2014 11:59 AM

I agree^^ I got the Layered tune cuz I also winter drive this thing. Kev did the initial tune with the dyno then I saw him the day after and he fine tuned the fuel trims on the street. It idles and drives like a stocker...until you step on it!

r3v07ut10n 03-17-2014 01:07 PM

^ this is something i will try to and this year. Get tuned 1 day then fine tune the fuel trims the next day. I just have so much planned this year for my, it takes up too much time.

LScreaminJ 03-18-2014 07:38 PM

Thanks a lot everyone, I appreciate the help! What are we looking at cost wise with dyno tuning?

r3v07ut10n 03-18-2014 09:57 PM

Need to talk to Kev on that

boost50psi 07-04-2014 10:36 AM

hey

Ya guys I had SSKev tune my 2.4 turbo setup and he was awesome. Made my car put out 291whp 331wtq on 10psi then turned it up to 15psi street tuned it and never got it dyno at that psi but it was fast as hell and ran almost like stock at idel. Great guy but hard to get a hold of sometimes, like I need to get a hold of him now lol

r3v07ut10n 07-04-2014 10:48 AM

^ im getting dyno tuned by him on Sunday. Cant wait.

09outlander 07-05-2014 02:23 AM

Could someone explain how the dual tune works with HP Tuners. Is it like Trifecta where you have 2 tunes controlled by the cruise control button.

cfsnipers 07-05-2014 10:41 PM

I was with him yesterday checking fuel trims and the general health of my car. Everything is perfect. I was gonna come to Neetronics on sunday too but i'm too busy.

I think the trifecta dual tune is installed first, then hpt is used to make alterations.

Fidget 07-06-2014 06:44 AM

You can get a dual tune on an LSJ?? Cool.
