Ya an M62 really needs octane and low combustion temps to make it work half decent.

OK then. As you know meth scares me after the **** you and Kevin went through due to it. That does not mean I am not willing to use it. What are my options to prevent a blow up if meth was to fail. I remember us talking about a failsafe system a while ago.?????

Ya tom and I both run a failsafe to help prevent any issues I'd have to look into how you'd hook it up on a sc setup cause I've only researched them on turbos

Here's the thing. Kevin's went down because he was running direct port injection. One of the nozzles had clogged or whatever not giving one cylinder proper amounts of meth. The knock sensor never picked it up being on one cylinder and it went down.

Me, I was spraying a **** ton of it solely relying on it. When it quit the motor went down faster than I could even look at gauges to see what happened.

When I was on my M62 and 7gph nozzle, that was probably the best set up I ever had using meth. Hell I had a pump seize on me. Every time I would start to get into it my interceptor would light up like Christmas with KR so I got out of it because something wasn't right. Not relying on the meth in the tune allowed me to catch the fault without any engine damage.

Soooo as long as you're smart about it, it's not as scary as it seems.

Yeah back when I was on meth and the M62 I was spraying a 5 or 7gph nozzle, can't remember. And I didn't run the tune on the ragged edge, and I had a fuse pop for the source I tapped into, and I did a few pulls before realizing it and it never blew up. That motor still runs to this day!

Just tap it into the bypass valve on the supercharger and I'll cut boost

Ok gonna start sourcing some kits. I am leaning towards a new kit and not used to avoid any issues.

Good call. Id suggest AEM progressive. Cause they have lots of fail safe support if you really wanted to go that way. But it gets pricey going all out.

Honestly, a 7gph nozzle with a solid tune by Taylor I wouldn't be concerned one bit about failing meth. Your KR will help to keep from engine damage. And we all know you're the best one on this forum at watching your interceptor for knock

Lol its true! But yeah, we wouldn't go too terribly aggressive with it. Could get some all out numbers, and then back it off just a little

Yeah I also had tack signal issues

Seemed like the torque was cut in half.

They said something about cobalts having a split distributer with two coil signal or something... Sounded like bs but could make sense... Especially if it was seeing monster rpms with torque devided over them. It would seem like the car wasn't making torque at all.

If I were to double my torque it would have been about 320ish which seems about right to me.

The last dyno day there were all sorts of people complaining about tach signal issues. Seems like a cop out excuse to me. But again, many balts use dynojets. Why doesn't speed factors work properly?

You can ship stuff here! I would say ship the meth kit there though and install it there, just so you know it is 100% working correctly before coming and pushing the car. Its nice to have confidence in your setup before putting it through its paces!

Dustin, I know how the struggle goes, lol I'm the kind of it. Look at you, you are turbo and hauling E85 up this year, and I have nothing to do with that
