Literally the only domestic 4 banger there lol. Judges loved my old 406whp dyno sheet haha. Then loved even more that I had a bigger turbo under the hood now lol. Great day at driven.

So I decided what kinda turbo setup I'm going with. not gonna say any details what I'm all getting in the motor, cause I don't quite know yet, but I'm close lol. but I'm going with an s257 sxe turbo. gonna be starting to buy parts in a week. should all be back together by end of the year or early next year. doing a lot of rust proofing and minor mods now. gonna be good for another 10 years when I'm done lol. fun times.

Personally I would roll an efr 7163 over my turbo I because you have more control over what you want as per streetbililty wise with the electronic boost control. But if you're going for straight kill which is a bit of a waste on pump gas and meth the 257 is the way to go.

u mean ecu boost control?

I'm planning on using the stock ecu boost control with the external wastegate. should work the same

Ahhhh ok, didn't know it would work the same. Well then ya good call haha. Much cheaper turbo. But then I guess you also have to factor a new manifold and downpipe. Anything else that's needed on an lnf to make it bolt up?

Yup pretty much this. Which with this turbo I priced out at a little more than the 7163.

So after an extremely long wait on my end I finally started tuning the Balt. After a base pull Taylor sent I was super impressed! Considering I'm running a mini AFC that cuts the Maf scaling to whatever I want so I can turn the boost dial as I wish on the fly Taylor was damn close fueling wise. Taylor then says to set it at 24psi and we will tune from there. So I do a couple quick rips and it's hangin in the 24 mark. Well with this turbo it's building boost all the way to redline. Hits in at 24 and ends at 26psi by 8k lol.

No more 29psi falling to 22psi by redline. Car is feeling fantastic. Will be on the dyno in no time.

Ya that's probably what it'll need to make over 500. I'm not gonna daily it on that. Just for dyno days and guys who need to be shut up lol. I love the fact I'll be able to adjust my boost on the fly now in the cab.

Over the winter the motor will get pistons and rods.

I made 511 @ 27.3 so with ir flow I'd guess you'd be in the 530 to 540 range at same pressure.

Build it'll be fun. I'd expect it to be able to put down more hp than Taylor

Just looked it up and I have 2 bi-weekly payments left.

I'm pumped.

Car needs some maintenance so it'll be nice to have some extra spending money.. Hit 150,000 km this weekend.
