Sounds good I may want to do the same.

Anybody know a guy with a blue redline. Not Mat Wiebe, this one was a brighter blue then his. Me and him had a good go at it the other day. had a big smile on my face after.

So is the Powell PCV system install really as easy as "Removing the dipstick and replacing it, and removing the pcv hose from the turbo are the toughest parts of the job."
I typically like to have some better visual instructions even though I can kind of picture what to do just from looking at it. How hard is it to get to the pcv hose on the turbo? |
honestly is super easy if you destroy the hose when taking it off, just pry it off with a pair of needle nose pliers. if you don't want to ruin that hose then your best bet is using 4 metal zipties and lots of patience
|
I believe u have to pull the fitting out and tap the VC
|
Well it did come with a tap, but the instructions didn't really mention tapping anything. Hence my confusion.
|
not doesn't come with tap,use 1/8 npt tape. to get the current thingy out of the cover, just put needle nose plyer on either side, or grab it with a vice grip and then hit the vice grip with a hammer as close to the thingy as u can. tap it, don't have to hit hard. if it doesn't come, apply heat. mine came out super easy. when u tap the hole, put grease on the tap and the filings will stick to the tap instead of falling inside the valve cover. it really is very easy. if u have a zfr, I hope u told powell cause u need a 45 degree fitting for the turbo instead of the one he gives for stock turbo or ur line wont fit on

Last time I dyno'd by myself it was $125 for 3 pulls. I can knock that down with the more people that get in on a dyno day.

No zfr. I'm still kind of confused, but I'll think on it for a bit and probably have more questions when I actually go to install it.

I asked walls to see how much they are. 225 to dyno, what a ripoff

Words can't explain the excitement of this 257 getting bolted up. Like a kid waiting for Christmas!
|
Well when u got price let me know. I'm pretty curious about what I'm putting down.
|
Sure no problem. Ya I'm excited so see the difference in power curves with my current 252 vs the new 257. No more boost drop and flow fer dayz :)

Well ordered some new rotors and pads yesterday off amazon. Cross drilled and slotted with black anti rust coating on them should arrive in a few days. Give em a shot. My fronts are pretty warped now so I need to do some thing. Should also look sweet just need to get some yellow caliper paint and do those at the same time.
