Canada Manitoba SS's 2007

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well I thought perhaps we should have a 2007 chapter for MANITOBA.

I hope you will all adopt this thread for us Manitoban's to communicate for 2007!!

I look forward to meeting and greet new members, getting back to Gimili, perhaps a planned track day at Gimili, or Sunday night cruise and crash the pony with our cars.

hope you have a great year and I will be happy to help all with any project you may have for your car just for the fun of it.

Hey! You know what's cool? The weather! Turned on the car after work and the coolant was at -28C! lol. The cold air added like 763HP! Only problem was the streets were so icy I couldn't get that all to the ground. I think my car slipped while parked, lol.

Hey there Hispano1! Welcome to the Wpg Cobalt CLub :-). Floor mats come in one colour only: black with gold chevy logo. They are rubber and cut to fit perfectly. The driver's one even has a hole for that floor mat hook. They run about $90 before tax ($89.95 or something) for the set of four. When you get them, they will come in 2 boxes - one for the front 2 and one for the rear 2. Orion still has one set (front and rear) in stock I think.

EDIT: That means you can buy the front and rear separately if you want to save money and get the fronts only. Fronts only are about $70 after tax.

And thanks for the sig compliment - I like it :-) Played with the free software from www.gimp.org to do it.

'nother trip to Orion today. Had a door ding taken out. They called in this guy Mark Sahan from Inland Sea Paintless Dent Repair. The guy is an artist. He not only took out the ding, he noticed another dent I never saw before and took it out too. He talked about dents like dropping pebbles in water and that meaning they have ripples that need to be smoothed, etc. Wow. Anyway, call him up or go to Orion and they will arrange an appointment and he'll come there. Here's his info: 296-5036 mwsahan@mts.net Tell him the Red Cobalt from Orion sent yah! www.inland-sea-paintless-dent-repair.com

Thought I'd share.

EDIT: Cost me only $60 for both dents. Now to call Vern @ 781-4816: He was recommended as a good tint guy :-)

Well, I'm gonna get all 5 windows done and the top band of the windshield, all at legal max. Guy said it would be $250 for all of it and he'll come to Orion and do in in an hour and a half while i watch. Comes with a warranty too. Apparently they know how to attack the rear window with its little black metal spots.

apparently the front windows can have only 50%, then the back three will be 35%. I'm thinking it will still look good cause of the compound effect all the windows will have. What sparked all this was the sun getting in my eyes lately right between the 2 visors. I figured wth, why not get it all done, lol. When you gonna do urs?

More importantly - how are the silverstars?

Are you getting a 5" tint across the front windshield at the top? what i the max we can do there? I have seen that makes a difference in how dark the rest of the tints are in the car.

I think he said something about that when I called - but maybe this helps:

And 127mm=5inch. So, I'm assuming we can go 25% for the top 5".

iunno....thats what im gonna be saving up for next...i wanna do 30 all around tho....50 is barely noticible from what i hear....but i cant wait to see the 35 tho...

as for the silverstars, they are an improvement from stock imo. The are more whiter than the yellowish tint to the stock bulbs...not as good as HIDS but better than stock...

50 is barely noticable. You might as well save you money if thats what you are going to do (honestly, its brutal)

I did 35% all around and couldnt be happier (well I could be really happy at 5 though) But from a legal standpoint 35 is going to be your best bet.

I have not been hassled or anything
