i'm selling off a few corolla parts- then get a tune done...
i think i will try road racing once i can afford new tires. but drag racing is only 25 buck!
i work this weekend so i'll try to be back out on the 18th

i will agree drag racing is cheaper, but road racing is ALOT more fun and you get more time on the track. In a good night you might get, what 4 runs in at castrol? At stratotech you get 3 - 4 runs which are 6-7 laps each which last avg. 76secs per lap. So $80 for more time on a track plus road racing...yea i would pick $80 over the $25.

No offense, but it sounds like you need some more practice time!
(either ti get used to your car, or to get used to launching FWD cars)
I went out on the may long (bone stock), did one run:
I found out the printer was screwed, and it seemed like it wasn't going to get fixed that night so I called it a night and got a free pass to use in the future...
I was at Race city (slower track mostly because of elevation difference);
I slightly bogged it off the line;
I got rubber in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd;
But I still pulled off a 14.59 @ 100.3mph
(incase you missed it, I think my time stunk)
I have no idea what my 60ft or any of that other good stuff was because they were not writing that down
Good luck on better times!

You are on the track with 5-6 other cars. You dont all start at the same time, car will go out, 3-5 secs later next car goes and so on. Passing is allowed on the back stretch but the main thing is to have the fastest lap, not be the first to cross the finish line. For example, i started 2 cars behind this modified evo and he is about to over lap me but a few laps later i had a quicker lap time then him somehow..lol
