Dealership so far so good...

took my car in to oreagans chev in halifax... was treated good... noise was investigated but not found... but in the process of them diagnosing it i got my brakes services and tires rotated for free still going in again for another check... met another cobaltss.net member there too saw his window sticker!

wish me luck on the warranty work... so far so good

second attempt.. they turned my rotors again thinking it was the brakes... a little frustrated but it didn't cost me anything again... gotta wait til spring to find out what it is when they talk to the engineers :/ they still beleive the noise is tires but don't have a set of rims to try on my car... i'm 99% sure it's drivetrain related... ah well spring will be a new year with a a stage 1 kit and hopefully a solution to the noise it's making...

what's the noise? Clunk, bump?

oh and if you want a really good chev dealer a little closer, cornwallis chev is good. Always treated me good, and I'm fussy as hell.

cornwallis is the first place it took it... that's where the mechanic said it's a sports car and needs to be driven like one so it shouldn'tbe borken and he has never had an issue doing anything under warranty i'll take it there this spring after oreagans gets one more kick at the can...

the noise is a faint rubbing noise when you're slowing down.. same pitch as the whine of the tranny gears when speeding up... they insist it's tires or brakes .. two brake services later and a tire rotation... i've tried to tell them it's drivetrain.. but they don't listen... car still drives fine... but lately when letting out the clutch it's a bit more clunky and loose then normal... we'll see what they find.

trust me, that clunky noise is normal, i have driven 2 other ss/ tcs that had the same noise right off the lot. I have had mine in there twice for the same thing and the told me as well as the district service manager that it was normal.

brutal well the clunking i can live with because it still drives fine... but the rubbing noise when i slow down isn't normal... and it started happening after i did a launch control takeoff ... been getting louder as the days go by... but they insist it's nothing to worry about and they will find it... we'll see i guess... stored for the winter in a couple of days... just bought a 99 grand am 3.4L for a beater.

i've been driving my gf's new kia Forte alot .. hah she tried to race me a few times coming home on the 101 the other night... poor girl... she got home and her car smelled like burnt clutch... it sounded like an angry beehive going by lol i can't wait to race her moms 2.4L Koup... her husband thinks it's fast :P not sure if i will buy jack stands or just put it on pieces of carpet with the tires over inflated to avoid flat spots...

Hey man! Yeah I'm still in bridgewater. So you're moving to new minas? Not a bad spot, hateful for traffic but all in all not too bad, I really do miss the valley.
