hey guys/gals its been a while since we met up, anyone down for a meet this upcoming Friday or Saturday at west ed mall? i know theres a few new members to the site in the edmonton area, how about we get together they can look at our cars, get some ideas of what they can do, and see what they have done.... lemi know... im always down for a meet.. we can meet up, go for a cruise and maybe go for a bite/drinks... other cars are welcome if your guy's friends want to come..

K so we'll have the meet on saturday at west ed mall.. same spot as usual at 7-8ish, and for those of you who can't make it on sat and wanna meet up on SUNDAY we can, im always down for a meet and cruise...

 

Balt isn't ready yet so I couldn't take that.. Maybe I'll load my truck up with parts and try and sell them to you guys haha

i cant make it this weekend as i work nights all weekend but i could make it the meet on the 20th it would be nice to see what you all have done to yours i bought mine and have only got a tune done to it so far it was already modded up buy snake709 when i bought it need to try to convince the dealership where i bought it to replace the clutch as i have only had it for 2 weeks now and the clutch is sliping

WTF? how is that clutch slipping already? I never had issues with that clutch in the 87,000km + 280hp 227 lbs of trq i owned it. Is it slipping at 3500rpm when you take off? If not thats not the clutch...thats the tune, its been like that since the first time i got staged 2 tuned. Steve fixed it abit but not 100%. Heres a dyno of what it does...



As you can see it drops quite abit of power and the AFR goes rich.

 

yeah it started to slip a couple days after i got matt to tune it its ok all i have to do is buy the clutch and the dealership will put it in so now i just gotta decide what clutch i want to buy im thinking a luk clutch cause its the most affordable

 

But is it doing like i discribed? At around 3500rpm when u first take off, does it engine hesitate and then the car jerks and takes off? If so its not your clutch, its the tune. Not saying anything bad about matt but that part of the tune was screwed. Steven couldnt believe it when he seen the tune on his computer and then when we drove around i showed him what the car does. He fixed it so we could barely notice it, however. When i went to the dyno a few days later it still had about a 4hp drop and about 7-9lb of torque drop cuz of the afr going rich at that rpm.

I just dont want u going out, spending a couple hundred bucks when it might not be the clutch.

 

Sunday likely works really well for me and it seems it does for others...maybe Sunday will be best?

 

its definatly the clutch i have to feather it or it will rev rite out and were can i get one for a couple hundred bucks cause the cheapest one i found was $500 it pulls strong all the way threw the rmps range

Also matt when are you leaving? I'm pretty sure the problem edmbaltss is having isnt the clutch, its the same problem i had for over a year that steve somewhat fixed. If it is the tune iiunno if it can be fixed by a street tune...thinking it might have to be done on the dyno tune with a 02 sniffer.

Also im not sure if im going to be able to make it this weekend...depends when it is, i might meet up with edmbatss to check the car out and im also going to a small party with the guys from work to celebrate working at the olympics and my farewell to Recce Squadron since now im going into a Tank Squadron.

 

The afr issue has been dealt with. I didnt notice anything wrong. I have it smoothed out very nicely. I will bring my computer with me regardless for the meet.

I am leaving april 7th but I am only leaving tuning open till the last weekend in march as I have to have tim efor myself to.

 

Well im going to meet up with him and test the car and see if it feels the same as what i had issues with. If it is then he will probably require a dyno tune to fine tune it. Steve thought he fixed it and the afr was nice as well but the dyno showed differently...pretty much the same as my pic i posted, just not as bad as that.

ah so he got the srt4 up and running? It's going to take every ounce of strength not to bring my ZX6R if i can get the engine to fire up..lol
